Independence Day in Washington

Independence Day is celebrated on the 4th of July each year. Due to the continuing political upheaval that occurred during the American Revolution, Great Britain eventually approved the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies under their power. The resolution of independence was approved by the Second Continental Congress after being proposed by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia.

Independence Day in Washington

Since then, the 4th of July has been a special day for all Americans. Independence Day is a well celebrated holiday wherein we celebrate our freedoms with friends and family by watching parades, embracing fireworks, and of course, grilling it up. Living in Washington state, we have a variety of community events, too.

There will be games, music and picnic events in South Lake Union Park, Bellevue Downtown Park, and Legion Memorial Park. You can also witness air show, contests, music, fireworks and food booths at Ruston Way Waterfront. Les Grove Park is a fun place to take the kids. There is also the always anticipated fireworks display at Des Moines Marina which can be seen from Beach Park.

As an American business, we at Washington State Kitchen and Bath celebrate with you. Happy birthday, America.
